This drinking vessel has four horizontal bands on the stem which is hollowed out with bluish tinge of glaze where pooling occurs including a splash on the inside walls of the stem, some dirt are still visible on the far interior of the bottom. From the stem rise a to everted mouthrim that is painted with four chrysanthemum flowers scroll within two double line bands, similarly with the interior depicting a lotus spray. The cobalt blue is slightly greyish , an obvious heap and pile effect seen on the darkened lotus, with dripping effect of imported cobalt seen on the double lines along the mouthrim scroll. The glaze is uniformly applied, with very good shine and soft smooth to the touch , a main feature.
Condition of the item is excellent , it has intact glaze and shine except for a small glaze chip on the foot which is trimmed and possibly polished with remaining burnt brown color marks.
