Up for your consideration, is this rare 18 century English sterling silver chambersticks or candlestick made by the much desired and hard to find John Wakelin & William Taylor. They were predominantly active in their partnership in 1762 1776.
Of course they work together for many years afterwards. This Chamberstick has the Georgian head the crown leopard head, the date letter 0 which should be 1789 and of course the rampant lion. The bow bash has also markings on it which corresponds with the marks on the bottom of the candlestick.
The snuffer I cannot find any marks except for the engraved leopard or lion, which is also on the bow bash. I believe that the marks have been polished off, from years of cleaning. I absolutely guarantee 100% that this is the original snuffer. It is in excellent condition with normal and expected wear. There is a number scratched on the bottom 10=13. I believe this was a an identification number in case someone stole it. It stands approximately 4 1/4's inches from the bottom of the base to the top of the snuffer. The base is approximately 5 1/4's inches in circumference. This weighs approximately 308.6 grams.
